Pappy Tom Retires

These two pages show the five 8x10 glossy black and white photos that were taken on the day that Pappy Tom retired. Thomas and Kaye think these were taken in 1972 when he turned 62, but that is just a guess.

These are the first two pages that I created, but they will not be the first two pages in the scrapbook. I created the Bennie page first and then used the same background paper, but changed the hue for the TBH page. I will probably change to a slightly darker shade of blue before I get these printed. If you want to enlarge them so that you can see them better, you should just be able to click on the picture and it will get bigger...hopefully!

Cato Kids

Here are 4 pages with pictures of the Bennie Cato and her siblings that I have borrowed from Kaye. Many of these pictures were originally printed as post cards, although they were never used as such. Kaye and Tom did their best to try to correctly identify everyone, but there is still one child that they do not recognize at all.

Cato Family Record

I wish it would be easier to rearrange the posts so that readers could see things more in the order in which they would appear in a scrapbook. There is at least one portrait picture which should precede the pages in this post, but I'm not ready to work on that page yet.

These are replicas of 2 pages from the Cato Family Bible. The information is a little difficult to read and some of the date information was never written in the Bible. I have tried to find out the dates myself, but I am still missing some information which I hope I can find out sooner or later. To try to make sure that everything can be read, I retyped it onto a digital paper which I have added to a blank spot on the second Family Record page from the Bible.

Starting Over

Today I decided to start a new blog for the Hindman/Cato Scrapbook. I plan to move the pages from my other blog over to this one which is more appropriately named. I also want to play around a little more with customizing the look of this blog.
